Business Research Proposal Healthy Sector in the Country
Question: Talk about the Business Research Proposal for Healthy Sector in the Country. Answer: Foundation and noteworthiness The Ministry of Health (MOH) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the essential sound division in the nation. 33% of the workers speak to the medical caretakers. The MOH is the government wellbeing segment controlling 65 essential wellbeing facilities and 14 clinics that have a place with six Emirates to be specific Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Um Al Qaiwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Al Fujairah (Al Shemeili et al. 2016). Abu Dhabi has its set up wellbeing framework. There is a quick change in the human services arrangement of UAE. The foundation of the profitable and effective medicinal services association is its human asset (Wollin and Fairweather 2012). In this way, enrollment strategy assumes a huge job in representative fulfillment, which thusly decides the authoritative advancement (Brownie 2015). According to the reports of Hamidi and Akinci (2015), the MOH in Abu Dhabi is battling to keep up successful social insurance framework. It is wrestling to fulfill the needs of a decent wellbeing framework. It is apparent from Joslin et al. (2010) there is an absence of inspired, prepared and bolstered individuals in the wellbeing association. Also, Abu Dhabi is tested with a feeble information base, negative workplace, and deficient venture. In any industrialized setting, the strategic vision of the association can be accomplished through the representatives work (Al Shemeili et al. 2016). Specialists and medical caretakers assume a urgent job in serving wellbeing needs of individuals. The job of medical attendants is undeniably all the more testing as they practice in the distinctive setting, for example, emergency clinics, outpatient offices, facilities and recovery focuses. Medical attendants now and again likewise need to accept the accountability of the clinicians, which makes them an essential and noteworthy piece of wellbeing association (Wollin and Fairweather 2012). To hold the certified wellbeing faculty, it is important that they experience work fulfillment. Distinguishing proof of the main considerations adding to work fulfillment is the essential test of heath care industry. These variables will help in creating compelling enrollment and maintenance strategy of wellbeing laborers. Therefore, it will end the issue of high turnover rates, the better standard from remaining and depleted attendants as saw in Abu Dhabi (Brownie et al. 2015). The difficulties looked by the workforce in the Abu Dhabi wellbeing framework altogether identifies with attendants instead of specialists (El-Salibi 2012). The social insurance offered to fundamentally sick patients is tested by nonstop changes in the medicinal services, utilization of cutting edge and confounded gear, low employment fulfillment, low compensation, low staff numbers, low open doors accessible and long working hours (Fares et al. 2014). According to the reports of (Hajat et al. 2012), high pat ient to nurture proportion relates with low resolve among the staff, land maldistribution and ability uneven characters. Subsequently, the effect of enrollment strategy on the profitability of the representatives is a critical territory of examination. It is additionally a least comprehended marvel that if there is a huge distinction of accessible chances to experienced representatives at MOH to new alumni. Tziner et al. (2014) suggest that the MOH must build up a key intend to improve the representative enlistment strategy. It must expand its interest in HR, which is important to quality the UAE national wellbeing framework. The issue, which legitimizes this exploration proposition, remembers enrollment strategy for the MOH. Abu Dhabi is confronting emergency identified with the diminishing assurance and efficiency of the medicinal services experts. Writing audit This area manages the survey of exploration articles and conversation of ideas a realities applicable to the subject of the examination study. As per Fares et al. (2014), the MOH at Abu Dhabi is intensely dependent on remote prepared alumni who have a place with various nations. They comprise of 82% of the all out representatives of Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD). The staying 18% of the workers are the nationals. According to the reports of (Hajat et al. 2012), it associates with low assurance among the staff, geological maldistribution and expertise uneven characters. Exploratory investigations by Wollin and Fairweather (2012) showed that in Abu Dhabi the MOH is encountering an emergency of workforce deficiency, in spite of the abundance enrollment of exiles. Different explanations for the deficiency of workforce incorporate long working hours and low compensation bringing about expanded truancy among the old representatives which is likewise the wellspring of weariness. Different difficulties incorporate proficient and geographic mal-dissemination. The difficulties because of relocation incorporate obsolete educational plans, accreditation of instructive educational plans, cerebrum channel, absence of re-permitting of wellbeing experts, absence of money related and non-monetary impetuses, constrained open doors for proceeding with clinical training projects and vocation improvement (Abdulrahman et al. 2015). Other concerning factors incorporate sex separation and poor relationship with higher specialists (El-Salibi 2012). This thusly is influencing the confidence and profitability of the current workers. It is further diminishing the open doors for the new alumni in Abu Dhabi. Brownie et al. (2015) broke down that there is a decrease in understudies deciding on the clinical calling as they see an absence of constant training openings and development. This is demonstrative of the reality there are less open doors for existing staff just as new alumni. The information assortment and the meetings directed in HAAD uncovered that at a province level there exists poor staff maintenance technique. Al Naqbi et al. (2014) and Abdulrahman et al. (2015) concurred with this examination and are fought with the information. The data got from the key witnesses uncovered that HAAD isn't independent and so as to satisfy the nation need it might need to request more on the remote prepared alumni. This thus is influencing the assurance and efficiency of the current representatives. It is further diminishing the open doors for the new alumni in Abu Dhabi. There are expanding new alumni battling for work because of the absence of coordination between the MoH and the instructiv e part. There is a need of enlisting compelling human asset administrators. In 2013, the MoH reported that the Human Resources and Nursing Departments will take an interest in the up and coming Healthcare Recruitment and Training Fair at the Abu Dhabis National Exhibition Center. It intends to draw in exceptionally qualified clinical staff, financial experts, fund directors, and business examiners from the understudies taking an interest in the presentation (Hamidi and Akinci 2015). As indicated by the Director of the Nursing Department, the goal is to supplant low-talented workforce with profoundly qualified and gifted alumni by exploiting the presentation. It plans to expand the level of local people occupied with the calling. The examinations by Wu et al. (2015) featured that the MOH is intending to build the quantity of posts for masters and advisors, who are looking for better business openings and profession improvement. According to these investigations, the Ministry is striving to connect the labor hole by setting up solid coordination between schola rly organizations and the work advertise. The equivalent is seen in the investigations of Brownie, (2015) and Al Shemeili et al. (2016). There is the expansion in interest of UAE driving organizations from both government and private segments in the local preparing and enlistment projects to furnish the Emiratis with promising work openings. There is an expanding exertion from the HAAD in setting measures for proceeding with proficient turn of events. The privileging system gave by HAAD will determine that there will be severe observing of Privileges to the representatives in the MOH. In any case, it was discovered that there is specific accentuation on the strategy creators and (Brownie 2015). Hamidi and Akinci (2015) suggests that the there is a need to build up a framework to handle out-relocation and make money related and non-monetary impetuses. The HAAD must build up a national HRH plan, and amend any HRH uneven characters. Al Naqbi et al. (2014) accepts that there is a need of modifying an instructive educational plans also an improvement of professional success programs. There is a writing hole relating to wor kers other than the clinical experts as far as the effect of the enlistment approaches. There is an obsolete and inadequate information on the wellbeing workforce system and presence of enrollment challenges for the two nationals and ostracizes. Exploration plan, procedure and techniques Exploration procedure is the fundamental piece of the examination proposition. It helps with continuing with the examination in logical and sorted out way (Berger 2015). It helps the analyst in understanding different exploration techniques. In this area, the specialist will clarify the exploration structure and strategies, which will be appropriate for this examination alongside its importance. Further, examining methodology, information assortment strategy and hotspots for auxiliary information will be point by point in short. For this examination, a subjective approach will be applied. It is accepted to be defended as the examination point is to comprehend the effect of enlistment strategy on the confidence and profitability of the representatives in Ministry of Health. As indicated by O'Leary (2013), the subjective examination gives an entire idea from the members perspective, which is fundamental for a specialist to build up the information based model to clarify the changes. Bahn and Weatherill (2012) accepts that the information acquired by the subjective examination is emotional in nature, and it assists with increasing rich data dependent on which one can address the exploration issues. The exploration will be acted in the emergency clinics of Abu Dhabi (name retained for secrecy). The investigation of examination includ

The Three Links Campus is widespread across the right side of Forest street, existing peacefully in itââ¬â¢s own world in the small town called Northfield. She was a friendly woman in either her 50s or 60s, and she smiled throughout our interactions as she informed us that our visit is expected, gave directions to the coat rack and bathroom then gave us few minutes to gather ourselves before we met with the CEO. As we sat waiting for our champion, one of the first thing I noticed was the cozy atmosphere of the place. There were comfortable but characteristic sofa like those you would expect at home placed in different areas of the campus. The arrangement of the place was inviting you to explore every nook and cranny. It was nothing like the white walls, white fluorescent lights and antiseptic floating scent that I expected. From my earshot I could hear the pleasant camaraderie between residences, and between employees. At 10am, the CEO of the company, Patricia Vincent, made an appearance with head full of sparkling gray hairs and eyes shining wi th warmth as she shook our hands and introduced herself. She walked us to the conference room, and on our way there I saw a placard on the wall. On it, it had the simple mission statement that leaves a lasting impression ââ¬Å"Creating peace of mind for those we serve,â⬠accompanied by the values of the company: Community, Accountability, Respect, and Empathy. Question: Discuss about theFinancial Analysis and Valuation Method for Dick. Answer: Introduction With the increasing ramification of economic changes and complex business structure, Dick smith holding, a major electronic retailer comes up with initial public offer in the market. This company was engaged in consumer retails of electronic items in Australia and New Zealand and collapsed in several parts due to manipulation in the financial statement and fraudulent accounting and reporting practice. In this report, study has been conducted on the brief history of Dick smith holding, a major electronic retailer and critical evaluation of valuation of Dick smith holding and its initial public offers has been taken into consideration. Afterward, valuation of companys share and financial evaluation has been made after when Dick smith holding, a major electronic retailer entered into strategic alliance with Anchorage capital partner. Brief summary of Dick smith holding, a major electronic retailer Dick smith holding, a major electronic retailer acquired by Anchorage capital partner. This company paid AUD$ 115 million for acquiring Dick smith holding. After the acquisition of this company by Anchorage capital partner, this company got listed on Australian stock exchange with a view to expand its business with a rapid growth (Anchorage capital, 2017). After that, it was evaluated that if company did not make proper level of disclosure and reflects falsified accounting in its financial statement. It is reflected that company would not keep up long and went into liquidation (Adelopo, 2016). The main reason behind the liquidation was companys falsified accounting and reporting framework. In the brief history of acquisition of Dick smith holding by Anchorage capital partner, it is reflected that that company was sold by Woolworth to Anchorage capital partner for an initial cash payment of AUD$ 20 million and ultimately Anchorage capital partner has to pay AUD$ 115 million for acquir ing Dick smith holding. However, at the time of listing of Dick Smith company market capitalization of company was valued AUD$ 520 million. However, Anchorage capital partner made several changes in compliance and financial functions of organization but all went in vain and dick smith had to go under the liquidation process due to reflects falsified accounting in its financial statement. After evaluation of annual report of Dick smith holding, it is evaluated that in 206 the share price value of Dick smith holding went down by 80% (Bahadir, DeKinder Kohli, 2015) this has shown that Anchorage capital partner has faced high amount of loss by entering into strategic alliance with the Dick smith organization. However, the main problem arises when it was noticed that company has followed wrong accounting and reporting framework (Malley, 2016). Critically evaluation of valuation of Dick smith holding when this company was acquired by Anchorage capital partner It is evaluated that dick smith holding was acquired by Anchorage capital partner by paying USD$ 115 million to Woolworth. It is considered that after acquisition of company by the Anchorage capital partner, shares of Dick smith holding company get listed and resulted to market capitalization of company valued AUD$ 520 million. As per the annual report of Dick smith holding company, it is considered that company issued share value of USD$ 7682980 in the market. However, at the time of initial public offer, shares of company were sold in the market at premium rate. Nonetheless, auditors report and other disclosures made by company had contradictions and it reflected that company has not complied with the international financial reporting standards. Dick Smith Company had reflected high amount of profit and increased value of its total assets and showcased less amount of profit earned (Tomasi, Bottomley and McQueen, 2002). This manipulation of profit has been done by company by reflect ing wrong value of inventories and reserve in its balance sheet. In addition to this, there were several changes after completion of initial public offers such as Anchorage capital partner initially retained only 20% of shares in the Dick smith company but eventually it had fully divested its holding to other shareholders. However, due to its non-effective legal compliance and failure of company to comply with the applicability with international financial reporting standard in accounting and reporting frameworks, Dick Smith Holding and its shares in the capital market had fallen by more than 80% in 2016 as compared to the time when they were listed on Australian stock exchange in December 2013. This level of destruction in the share price value and loss of business of company resulted to failure to may payment to creditors (Ferraro, 2017). All the creditors such as national Australian bank and HSBC Bank Australia took the company into liquidation (Tomasic, Bottomley, and McQueen, 2 002). This resulted to closer of various units of Dick Smith Company and share value of company went down by 80% and resulted to destruction of business on international level. After that, Kogan.com an online retailer acquired the Dick smith at undisclosed price. Therefore, it could be inferred that value of shares issued by Dick Smith had gone down throughout the time. Nonetheless, in the starting, when IPO was issued by the Dick smith, it had market capitalization around USD$ 520 which is quiet high amount for the newly listed company. After that due to its non-efficient legal compliance and non-compliance of IFRS rules and regulations, company fails to create trust in shareholders and investors in the market. The valuation of shares of Dick Smith Company could be determined by using market value method, intrinsic value method and joint methods. However, it could be inferred that in the starting period when the shares of Dick Smith company was sold as initial public offer all the shares of company were sold at the premium price (Leow, 2009). Throughout the time, in secondary market, when shareholders lost their confidence in the reporting and accounting frameworks of Dick Smith company due to falsification in recording financial data in its financial statement. Therefore, after evaluating the annual report and details shown by the security exchange board of Australia, it could be inferred that Initial public offer of Dick Smith Company was done by complying with all the rules and regulations of corporation act. However, in the starting when the shares were firstly issued by Dick Smith Company, all the investors flooded with the money to buy shares of company and created AUD $ 520 million market capitalization on the listed stock exchange (Drazba, E., 2015). Assessment of ethical dilemmas facing two separate set of people (Anchorage capital partner in context with the flotation of Dick Smith business and directors and executive Ethical dilemma Ethical dilemmas is related to the concern when organizations or person caught in a situation where both the situation in either right or wrong. In this case, ethical dilemmas has aroused while depicting the financial statement of Dick Smith Company to its stakeholders. It is evaluated that company had to create its financial statement on the basis of falsified accounting and financial results. However, Auditors of Dick Smith Company had to give unqualified audit report to the company on the basis of facts and documents shown by company. In the starting of this process, all the stakeholders believe the facts and financial statement shown by Dick Smith Company in its reporting frameworks. The main ethical dilemma which is faced by Anchorage capital partner was related to disclosing the financial details to its stakeholders. After acquisition of Dick Smith Company by Anchorage capital partner, it was observed by executive and directors of Anchorage capital partner that it has not compl ied with the accounting and international financial reporting standards while reporting its all assets and liabilities. This resulted to destruction of transparency and true and fair view of financial statement of organization. After collecting data from secondary sources, it was analyzed that Anchorage capital partner was having idea from the beginning but never disclosed the same details with the stakeholders. The executive and key managerial persons of Anchorage capital partner was having clear idea that if they disclose the complete details of company related to accounting and financial information then it will cause high amount of loss in its business functioning. However, Anchorage capital partner was not having any facts and complete back up to showcase the problems of financial statement of Dick Smith Company (Knapp, 2016). Directors and senior executive of Dick Smith Company and their ethical dilemma These are key managerial persons who take all the strategic decisions of Dick Smith Company. It is considered that these persons knew from the beginning that company had failed to comply with the proper level of IFRS rules and regulations and reflected falsified details and values in its annual report. However, they had idea that if they disclose the complete level of information regarding companys detail then it will destruct the brand image of company and market capitalization of company on international level. They are the drivers of company and they have fiduciary liabilities to work in the best interest of organization. As per the statement and data shown by Dick Smith Company in its annual report in 2014 that company has shown all the inventories and assets value wrong and falsified with a view to misguide its stakeholders and showcasing less amount of profits (AASB 102. 2009). Another ethical dilemma was related to the failure of these key managerial persons to comply with the ir commitment. It was considered that Dick Smith Company in the annual report of 2014 announced the purchase of MAC21 an authorized service center. However, due to the companys failure and its acquisition by Anchor capital investment, it had to change it decisions and resulted to failure to comply with the made commitment. This level of failure was the biggest ethical dilemma for directors and key managerial persons of Dick Smith Company but comply with the same was also very hard. Therefore, it could be inferred that ethical dilemma Anchorage capital partner in the flotation of business was to make proper level of disclosure which should be made by company for the best interest of general public at large. Conclusion In this report, it is reflected that there were several problems and dilemmas which had resulted to destruction of Dick Smith Company on international level. It is considered that Dick Smith manipulated its all the financial figures and inventories with a view to reflect profitable business and good financial health. This level of framework was done by company with a view to raise funds from the investors. In addition to this, company had market capitalization of USD $ 520 which was created by company due to its falsified reporting and accounting frameworks. All the shareholders and investors invested in Dick Smith Company on the basis of falsified information shared by company. Eventfully, when the proper information was depicted by auditors and other reporting authority, market capitalization went down very drastically and resulted to liquidation of business. Now in the end, it could be inferred that if company showcase wrong or falsified information to its stakeholders then it cou ld create short term benefits but in long run it has to face loss or wind up of its business. Reflecting the Horrors of War
Thesis revised People learn more about the horrors of war through literature but do not infer from experience they gain; the only way they apply the knowledge about the war is the development of more sophisticated weapon to kill people.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Reflecting the Horrors of War specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More As such, literature can be considered one of the most effective ways to reflect the war in terms of reasons, results, stories of people and their families, feelings and emotions, actions and virtues. Does the war help people to understand the values of life and demonstrate their virtues? I would like to review the works of literature the authors of which managed to show how horrible the war is so that successive generations did not want to solve the conflicts in this way. The war is one of the most widely-spread and talked-about concepts of the contemporary society. The history should no t be forgotten; it has to be reflected in literature for other people to learn the examples and know how destructive the mankind can be. The relations between the people during the war were not clear, especially regarding the World War II when the concept of racism was advanced in terms of treating people rather than their skills, virtues, or features. In this respect, many people try to listen only to the stories about brave men who can come to rescue. However, in the beginning of the book The Complete Maus: Maus I ââ¬â A Survivorââ¬â¢s Tale; Maus II ââ¬â And Here My Troubles Began by Art Spiegelman, the father tells the author: ââ¬Å"It would take many books, my life, and no one wants anyway to hear such storiesâ⬠(14). The images of mice use to depict Jews are bright and lively showing how horrible the war is in spite of the fact that people do not like to hear true storues. The responsibility is a concept that has little relation to war because no one would clai m that he/she started the war and made all those people suffer. Some Americans cannot still forget the horrors of the Vietnam War whereas the invasion of Iraq became another topic for literary tragedy. As such, people suffer from the consequences of war which did not even finish because soldiers die leaving families without ââ¬Å"Our fathersââ¬âour coaches, our teachers, our barbers, our cooks, our gas-station attendants and UPS deliverymen and deputies and firemen and mechanicsââ¬âour fathersâ⬠(Percy, par. 8).Advertising Looking for essay on history? Some people think that war is romantic in some way showing us heroes that bravely fight against the enemies. However, their attitude towards war is shaped in accordance with the principles advocated and propagated in media. On the contrary, the horrors of war are the same no matter how many time have passed since the last shot. The World War I seems to be far away though its reflections are still engraved in the world history because it affected many countries and many people died or lost people their knew and loved. The poem ââ¬Å"Dulce Et Decorum Estâ⬠by Wilfred Owen was inspired by the events of this war demonstrating the horrors of military operations. The author tells about the gas and the reaction of a human organism when one can do nothing to prevent the reaction: But someone still was yelling out and stumbling and floundering like a man in fire or lime (Owen, lines 11-12). This poem ends with a statement that the famous Latin exhortation about the excitement from dying for the mother land is the lies. Ancient Spartan Government essays
Ancient Spartan Government essays During the time in which Sparta existed, Spartans were well aware of what to expect in their life. Spartan life was simple, yet disciplined. The government of Sparta was harsh, however it was orderly and stable. Spartan government provided a life in which Spartans were offered few choices, instead, many choices would be made for them. The form of government practiced in Sparta was controlling toward the lives of children, men, and slaves. When persuing to have a child during the time of Sparta, it was extremely important to be aware of the governments role in your child's future. The Ephorate, which posesed the highest governmental power in Sparta, ran an infant system in which each newborn child would be assessed. Children who did not appear to be healthy and strong were taken and left to die on the apathate, or top of a mountain. It was made clear that no deformed children were allowed to live. However, children who apeared to be healthy and strong were given the opportunity to persue the normal Spartan life. Right from birth, a healthy male child was destined to serve in the millitary. At age 7, boys were sent to the military and athletic school. Here, they learned toughness, discipline, endurance, skills, and how to deal with severe pain. At the age of 20 a male Spartan became a soldier and persued a life with his fellow soldiers. Everyday, soldiers were forced to deal with displeasing conditions in which they were barefoot, received small amounts of food, and slept outside with no covering. They were not given many individual choices, if any at all. However, the governmental control toward men was not at drastic as it was toward slaves. The government of Sparta was extremely controlling toward slaves. Slaves were owned, and not in any way considered citizens. They were forced to cultivate the soil for the citizens who owned the land. Despite the hard work and pain a slave would endure during work, the g...

Are Science and Religion in Conflict Research Paper - 1
Are Science and Religion in Conflict - Research Paper Example Many are the times when religion has various inconsistencies with science. While some people are alight with religion, some do not find this route appealing. As a matter of fact, there have been various debates that try to bring religion and science together. Many parties have come up with strong points that are aimed to settle the differences (Draper, 2010). However, not a single party is willing to water down their stand. As such, they have been in constant opposition as to which has a legitimate stand. Consequentially, some people are torn in between as they come to terms with issues raised by both sides of the divide. Most people only focus on the positive attributes of the two sides. As such, they do not have a concrete decision to fully settle for either religion or science. For these reasons, this paper answers the question as to whether there is a conflict between religion and science. Religion is based on religious practices and beliefs which are taught in defined settings a nd contained in various literature. Religious norms state that their followers have to uphold utmost faith in their beliefs. As such, they are to follow religious teachings and values at all times. One of the most outstanding issues in religion is that God is the creator of everything. Since He is the supreme creator, human beings have no legitimacy to compare themselves to the Supreme Being. In this case, humans have no reason to compare themselves to the Almighty through His mysterious ways (Radcliffe, 2012). The point is that religious fraternities are not in agreement with scientific innovations with scientists trying to compare their creations with those of the Almighty. The most outstanding example in this case is cloning. Science has made it possible for humans to create other humans through cloning, which is a scientific way of breeding humans through science. This is unacceptable to many religions as followers consider this to be mimicking their Creator. As a matter of fact , they consider the Almighty as a steadfast priority and should not be compared to anything else that exists or ever existed (Draper, 2010). For a human being to glorify cloning is ridicule to God as stated by the religious fraternities. Therefore, according to religious groups, the numerous scientific innovations are ill advised and should not try to compare their innovations with Godââ¬â¢s creations. This has been a heated point of argument as scientists advance on their innovation in total disregard of the sentiments from the religious people. On the other hand, scientists state that there is no point of concern with their innovations in regard to cloning. In fact, some scientists state that the Almighty gave humans the brain as well as the right to fill the earth. As such, they are enhancing the Almightyââ¬â¢s task to multiply the human population and fill the earth. Since this is a strong point, scientists feel that they have an obligation to increase the human population in an easier and scientific way. Consequentially, religious fraternities state that this is not the intended approach to multiplication of the human kind. They state that the Almighty intended for the natural way of multiplying human beings. As such, these religious fraternities are totally against cloning of human beings. This creates a serious drift between the two parties as each tries to justify their opinions and approaches (Bury, 2010). Since they all have their supporting points and references, they seem to be in conflict. Apparently, this conflict seems to intensify with each development and cannot be solved on a round table agreement. Conflict arises between religion and science especially when there is such a profound contention. As a matter of fact, religious groups have one thing in common, which is their beliefs and faith in a superior being (Dennett & Plantinga, 2010). Therefore, all the people that interact with the religious groups will have to assert their beliefs

How a management consultant identifies a potential client Essay
How a management consultant identifies a potential client - Essay Example Management consulting may involve the identification and cross-fertilization of best practices, analytical techniques, change management and coaching skills, technology implementations, strategy development or even the simple advantage of an outsider's perspective. It generally brings formal frameworks or methodologies to identify problems or suggest more effective or efficient ways of performing business tasks. "Management consultants are primarily concerned with initiating and implementing technological, organisational and behavioural changes. Their work involves providing objective appraisals where it is often easier for an expert outsider to see the broader picture and reorganise the long-term requirements of an organisation." In management consultant, identifying a potential client is a very important aspect. One would consider a business organisation that has not been performing well as a potential client. The organisation should be big enough and ready to pay management consultation fees. Such a business organisation would not decline the service of a management consultant for they would be willing to achieve their organisational goals. If given a management consultation by a potential client, then I would start the consultation work immediately. This would involve a number of approach and steps to follow in order to fully identify the real problem with the firm. When it comes to consultation work itself, it involves a management consultant team which must include senior management as well as employees at all levels. A newly-hired graduate will start in a supporting role in team projects and will be involved in the following activities; Taking Responsibility for Gathering and Collating Data At a start of any management consultation, the necessary data has to be gathered and collated. This is the responsibility of a newly hired graduate in a management consultation firm. He goes to the firm that requires management consultation and gathers all the necessary data and put it together. The Evolution of British Tea Traditions in the 18-19th Centuries Essay Example for Free
The Evolution of British Tea Traditions in the 18-19th Centuries Essay Foreigners have many ideas about what the English like. I can say that a nation is born from its land, its history, its art, its institutions and its traditions. Britain is famous for its immutable traditions. The traditional love of English people for tea is well known by all over the world. The English have always drunk tea as a nation. And I understand their love for tea: itââ¬â¢s good any time of day, itââ¬â¢s very refreshing, and it can restore you, when you are tired. But itââ¬â¢ll be better to notice, that time is changing everything. Itââ¬â¢s changing the style of our life. Itââ¬â¢s becoming faster and faster every year. Different life ââ¬â different traditions! Certainly tea-drinking, as a part of the English tradition, changed. Nowadays, unlike food, tea could be offered to anyone at any time without inconvenience and without breaking any of the rules of decorum. Its service provided a focal point for social activities, enabling people of differing rank to meet and converse, and helping to spread the polite values of refinement, gentility and sociability. More than two centuries ago, in early eighteenth century Britain tea was usually prepared by the lady of the house in front of her guests. It was habitually taken in the mid-afternoon, after dinner, but as the century progressed, it was also more often drunk at breakfast. According to Likhachev D.S., who worked on the analysis of the Nature of cultural traditions, Each generation, in its activities, makes the choice of existing traditions (taking some tradition or aspects of them and at the same time rejecting others), and gives them their own interpretation. And so, most likely, the tea-drinking tradition was changed by the generations, the slaves of time in manifest error of what a real tradition is.

The Glass Menagerie - Amanda Wingfield Essay -- English Literature
The Glass Menagerie - Amanda Wingfield If there is a signature character type that marks Tennessee -Williamsââ¬â¢s dramatic work, it is undeniably that of the faded Southern belle. Amanda is a clear representative of this type. In general, a Tennessee Williams faded belle is from a prominent Southern family, has received a traditional upbringing, and has suffered a reversal of economic and social fortune at some point in her life. Like Amanda, these women all have a hard time coming to terms with their new status in societyââ¬âand indeed, with modern society in general, which disregards the social distinctions that they were taught to value. Their relationships with men and their families are turbulent, and they staunchly defend the values of their past. As with Amanda, their maintenance of genteel manners in very ungenteel surroundings can appear tragic, comic, or downright grotesque. Amanda is the playââ¬â¢s most extroverted and theatrical character, and one of modern American dramaââ¬â¢s most coveted female roles (the acclaimed stage actress Laurette Taylor came out of semi-retirement to play the role in the original production, and a number of legendary actresses, including Jessica Tandy, have since taken on the role). Amandaââ¬â¢s constant nagging of Tom and her refusal to see Laura for who she really is are certainly reprehensible, but Amanda also reveals a willingness to sacrifice for her loved ones that is in many ways unparalleled in the play. She subjects herself to the humiliating drudgery of subscription sales in order to enhance Lauraââ¬â¢s marriage prospects, without ever uttering so much as a word of complaint. The safest conclusion to draw is that Amanda is not evil but is deeply flawed. In fact, her flaws a... ...r we will see that she is afraid of what will happen to a young girl of Lauraââ¬â¢s position who is not married. Thus, Amandaââ¬â¢s emotions are mixed at present but will become clearer as the play progresses. Note how Amanda plays the revelation scene for all its theatrical effect. This is also a part of her character and prepares us for her giddy actions when the gentleman caller comes. One of Amandaââ¬â¢s admirable qualities is her determination. Once she has set her mind to a task, she goes about it with a determination that neither of her children possesses. It would be impossible to imagine either Tom or Laura dedicating themselves to a task with such complete zeal as does Amanda. It is, however, this dedication which makes her appear hateful to her children. It is as though both, especially Tom, were still youths whose every action had to be supervised.

Reporting Practices and Ethics Essay
The four elements of financial management are planning, controlling, organizing and directing, and decision making. These four elements will be defined and explained in this paper. Also emphasized will be the accepted accounting principles and the general financial ethical standards. Examples of ethical standards of conduct and financial reporting practices will be explored and notated in this paper as well. All of these points are important in the accounting practice of health care management to help the organizations run smoothly and to be financially stable. Four Elements of Financial Management Planning lets a health care organization set goals and guidelines to make sure their office is a success and that all accomplishments are met. Controlling is ensuring that all areas within the healthcare organization are following goals and guidelines set and gives the organization the opportunity to prepare for any issues that may arise. Organizing and directing ensures that the health care organization is working to its potential and allows them to work on a day to day basis and fix any issues that may be looming. Lastly, decision making works off all of the other elements (planning, controlling, organizing and directing) by collecting information and making the final decisions on how the financial management will work. General Accepted Accounting Principles ââ¬Å"The common set of accounting principles, standards and procedures that companies use to compile their financial statements. GAAP are a combination of authoritative standards (set by policy boards) and simply the commonly accepted ways of recording and reporting accounting informationâ⬠(Generally Accepted Accounting Principles , n.d.). Even with GAAP being a set ofà standards, there are still companies that will finagle numbers on their financial statements, so their financial statements will have to be scrutinized tremendously. General Financial Ethical Standards ââ¬Å"Ethical standards are determined largely by professional accounting and finance organizations and the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Small-business owners who plan to perform their own accounting services or hire accountants should be aware of accounting principles and general financial ethical standards so they can maintain a positive reputation for their businessesâ⬠(Morley, n.d.). Competence is one of the ethical standards that is key for a financial officer to uphold in an organization. Financial managers should follow the GAAP and stay up to date with its guidelines. They should also uphold honesty and integrity. Examples of Ethical Standards of Conduct Ethical standards of conduct is a set of standards that each company sets for themselves. There is no consistent standards of conduct for a business, but they must include, promoting values, trust, good behavior, fairness, and kindness. They are not easily enforceable and are always open to interpretation. For example, men and women should be treated equally or treat the patient with respect. Nightingale Home Healthcare code of ethics are direct and descriptive. Some of their ethical standards of conduct are listed as: ââ¬Å"all business conduct should be well above the minimum standards required by the law, each employee is responsible for the consequences of his or her actions, each employee must be the guardian of Nightingaleââ¬â¢s ethics, leaders at Nightingale have extra responsibility of setting an example by their personal performance and an attitude that conveys Nightingales ethical values, our first responsibility is to the patient and patientââ¬â¢s families that we p rovide our servicesâ⬠(Corporate Social Responsibility-Code of Ethics , n.d.). There are numerous points of their code of ethics but they serve a purpose and that purpose to make sure their company is ran efficiently and respectfully. Financial Reporting Practices ââ¬Å"A distinguishing characteristic of high performance organizations is a strong internal control structure-controls that ensure patient care,à compliance with regulations, internal efficiencies, and financial reporting. It is controls on financial reporting that are receiving a great deal of attention under a new law, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Public companies are now required by law to document controls over financial reporting, in order to fully address exposures and the effectiveness of current controls. Though many healthcare organizations are not directly affected by the law, regulatory agencies could follow suit and require similar compliance. In fact, several states have introduced bills that require nonprofit organizations to adhere to portions of the act. This article provides a guide for organizations desiring to stay ahead of the curveâ⬠(Godwin & Mueller, 2005). Significance The significance of these examples are that there are ethics that need to be followed within any organization but in a healthcare organization it is extremely important because you handle patients and to ensure the comfort of these patients, a code of ethics need to be enforced for the organization. It is also important to ensure that financial reporting is done, so all finances stay up to date on a legal manner. It helps to show revenue, liability, and expenses and helps control the business effectively. References Corporate Social Responsibility-Code of Ethics . (n.d.). Capitalist Americ How Society Lost Itself - 1744 Words
Capitalist America: How Society Lost Itself Since the beginning of the Middle Ages around 400 A.D., the economic model of capitalism has been applied upon communities with the intent of experiencing the greatest amount of growth in wealth in the shortest amount of time. In the context of ââ¬Å"The Great Gatsbyâ⬠, for America, the end of World War I in 1919 represented a great opportunity for capitalists around the nation to further grow their wealth with what seemed to be no downside. However, capitals reliance on sign exchange value, where individuals subscribe to beliefs and purchase goods because of what they represent, causes drastic changes in society. The value of interpersonal relations diminishes, and the very meaning of reality is over-proliferated and then deconstructed. The ââ¬Å"roaring twentiesâ⬠represented a time where no true reality was accepted until it was skewed by the wealthy. Fitzgerald utilizes the character of Owl Eyes and the billboard of Dr. T.J Eckleburg to highlight the substantial diffe rences between the illusive faà §ade the elite class attempt to create and the reality of the 1920ââ¬â¢s. Owl Eyes represents Fitzgeraldââ¬â¢s archetype for the common person that is part of the wealthy crowd for the era, one who is prone to buying into the illusions that the wealthy capitalists attempt to create for themselves. Throughout the novel the reoccurring motif of lavish parties is brought up, within one such event, Owl Eyes is introduced as a drunkard loitering within

Dropping Out Of School Is More Common Than People Think
Introduction Dropping out of school is more common than people think because about one third of high-school freshmen do not graduate on time (Sweeten, Bushway, Paternoster, 2009). It is important to understand that dropout rates are higher for racial minorities, where 22 percent of non-Hispanic white youths dropped out of school and as for Hispanics 47 percent dropped out and African Americans 44 percent (Sweeten et al., 2009). Just from dropping out of school most dropouts will averagely make about 16,500 dollars a year as for having a diploma will have better chance of starting off about 26,000 dollars a year (Sweeten et al., 2009). Besides these low pay rates it is extremely important to comprehend that dropping out of school has aâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦It is communityââ¬â¢s job to help build awareness that getting a good education may possibly lead to a great job and lower crime rates. By just simply helping kids who are struggling academically can potentially help th em get through school and keep them out of trouble. Its can sometimes be seen as students who are behind academically may get less attention and they may feel that its just easier to give up (Sweeten et al., 2009). Literature Review In 1938, Robert K. Merton came up with strain theory (Schmalleger, 2014). Strain theory states that social structure within the community can cause people to commit a crime (Schmalleger, 2014). Strain can lead to crime because it can be used as a coping mechanism because people can set a tough unrealistic goal that they cannot meet (Schmalleger, 2014). Having goals like wealth, status, and personal happiness are great to have but there are things a person must posses to have these such as an education, hard working and financial savings (Schmalleger, 2014). With these goals and not having these traits can increase strain on a human and they can change as a person (Schmalleger, 2014). Just like dropping out of school can be connected to strain because being academically to far behind can pressure a student to just take the easy route. Having poor academic abilities can get in the way of earning a high school diploma because the impact of strain it has on a student th ey might just

Serial Killers And The United States - 1743 Words
Introduction Serial murder crime though rare, is not a a new phenomenon. This crime has been committed for centuries and will continue to be a crime that is committed throughout the world. It is unfortunate and scary that this is probably one of the most serious of crimes that cannot be prevented. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, serial murderers commit their crimes because they want to. Rehabilitation is not obtainable for serial killers due to their inability for remorse and empathy, or to see people as people and not objects(Knight 2006). This research paper will focus primarily on serial murder within the U.S. First and foremost, a legal definition provided by the U.S. Department of Justice will be presented to set forth the discussion of this research paper. As follows will be a detailed discussion explaining serial killer typologies with the use of examples of known serial killers in the U.S. Types of serial killers are: power oriented, mission oriented, visionary, and hedonistic, each typology will be clearly defined and explained. Some serial killers can have a mixture of each typologyââ¬â¢s characteristic. Question: Discuss about the Maori People and a Health Issue that is affecting them. Answer: Introduction Discrimination is one of the most common vices in countries that are faced with two diverse groups. This can result from the two groups being either indigenous vs non-indigenous, or being racially different. However, as discrimination is something that is condemned all over the world, steps have been taken to promote or rather eliminate it in various important institutions. In New Zealand for instance, Maori people have for a long time been facing discrimination at the face of Non-Maori. Of great importance in this paper however, is how discrimination is affecting provision of health services among the Maori and the Non-Maori. Thus, it will be important to look for data that backs this claim, in addition to giving recommendation as to how this health issue can be solved. Lastly, the paper will look at how the Maori can work together with the government in planning as far as discrimination in provision of health services is concerned. Thus, this paper is a discussion of a health issue , which is discrimination on Maori in relation to health services, the role of the government and possible ways that the problem can be solved. Discrimination at National and local level There is discrimination both nationally and locally. Statistics indicate that the government has done little to address the issue of inequality in relation to provision of health services both locally and nationally. However, locally, the extent of discrimination appears to be slightly higher as few people are willing to advocate for the vice (Anaya, 2015). For instance, health care accessibility is not to the best of standard as that at national level. In addition to that, there are few top leaders in health sectors at local level that demonstrate equality as there is at national level (Anaya, 2015). Lastly, at national level, there are anti-discrimination bodies that are set to advocate for equality in all aspects unlike few to none that exists locally. Thus, discrimination is comparable both at national and local level, it appears to be slightly higher at local level Discrimination as a Health-related Issue Some diverse examinations and data give a total audit of Maori health status. However, there are various indicators that prove that there is inequality as a result of discrimination in the provision of health services among the Maori people unlike other people. According to government data, cause-specific mortality, including going from respiratory infirmities, compelling ailments, cardiovascular contaminations, diabetes, illness, and unplanned injuries, which appears to be higher among Maoris than non-Maoris (Slater et al., 2013). Mortality rates have since declined for a couple of diseases, yet contrasts among Maoris and non-Maoris remain in relation to health. For example, age-regulated cardiovascular disease statistics appears in every way, to be higher in Maori than non-Maori (Chen, and Yang, 2014). Different particular illuminations have been proposed for the uneven characters in prosperity among Maoris and non-Maoris (Thornicroft et al., 2014). In like manner, yet inherited fa ctors may add to contrasts in health status among Maoris and non-Maoris by certain specific conditions, they do not accept a significant part of people and general health terms. Non-genetic illuminations for comparison with health among Maoris and non-Maoris can be accumulated into genuine extents focussing on discrimination. This elucidation is not irrelevant, yet rather it is significant to consider them freely while recalling that they are indivisibly associated. Discrimination is an issue that is affecting the Maori people in the provision of health services (Baker et al., 2012). Government report document that there is discrimination that is still in place towards Maori despite various policies and laws that have been put in place to advocate against the vice. Additionally, studies reveal that medical schools have a lower number of Maori students graduating as compared to non-Maori. Reports on the provision of healthcare services on the Maori suggest that most Maori admits that they prefer to be treated with Maori medics and not a non-Maori for fear of being discriminated. There is a growing concern among the legislatures on the resources that are set aside to try and bridge this inequality and social injustice that is affecting most Maori population (Baker et al., 2012). Among the children born with deformities, miscarriages, and asthma which is related to smoking during pregnancy, Maori group registers the highest number as compared to no n-Maori, which has been a trend for many years. Thus, it is clear, as evidence suggest that there is growing concerns about the need to address the disparity that many reports, both national and medical indicate the health status of the Maori as compared to the non-Maori. Iwi Governance and Role of Maori in health care Service Planning The governance of iwi provides some of the roles that one can apply in ad mistering health care services. It consists of various components in relation to governance. Firstly, is the governance Board Tront with a chief executive officer (Anaya, 2015). The chief executive officer has several roles; however, down the hierarchy of governance is the health and social unit manager who is tasked with overseeing mental health, shared care. CAYAD, home support services and budget services. These are some of the roles and governance structure in relation to health. The Maori people on the other hand have a role to obey government directives, cooperate with the government and offer consulted efforts in the provision of health services (Anaya, 2015). It is this role that appears to be in sabotage as the issue of discrimination in the provision of health services could no longer be in existence among the Maori. Role of the Government and Governance in addressing health Inequality Its role includes attempting to guarantee M?ori have at any rate an indistinguishable level of health from non-M?ori and protecting M?ori social ideas and values (Viner et al., 2012). The Government put in place measures and Maori-controlled health advancement programs, including the arrangement of Maori health overseers to work inside Maori people group, to add to this continuous measure (Harris et al., 2012). In addition to that, the government put more emphasis and avail resources to Maori-led Initiatives which aims at improving their health (Curtis et al., 2012). Moreover, it also tries to reorganize the manner in which they are disadvantaged in health. In doing this, both the government and the Maori have a duty to cooperate in putting in place quality data that can be used to effectively monitor Maori health. In addition to that, the two, that is, the government and Maori have to work in all sectors in offering effective health care that is accessible to all groups including the disabled (Bcares, Cormack, Harris, 2013). Lastly, it is the responsibility of the government to enhance improvement in participation either through workforce development, capacity building or decision making. The government is also tasked with funding Maori health, which is another way of ensuring maximum health and a reduction of inequalities that is common among Maori and non-Maori (Rashbrooke, 2013). The government through the Ministry of health assumes a position of leadership about Maori health inequality, for instance, by supporting agencies that are key to promoting health and also by giving support to Maori health providers. The government also has a strategy put in place that offers direction to the Maori health, which includes multiple initiatives and they also incorporate evaluation and monitoring mechanisms that work independently ( Bcares, Cormack, Harris, 2013). The strategies together with the evaluation mechanism are aimed at ensuring that there is a way of identifying evidence-based models that are effective and useful to be used as approaches in enhancing Maori health. The models that the government is tasked to put up will serve as standards in monitoring frameworks for the provision of health services. In healthcare planning, the government cannot act in isolation. It has to involve the people with rules that are going affect the plans that it intends to put up. Also, in health care services for Maori people, it is essential that the government involve the local community in coming up with policies that are friendly and include some of their practices. The government has a role in inviting the Maori people or their leaders in determining the problem that is affecting the provision of health services in their locality (Pool, 2013). This can be done in many ways that do not alleviate and instead encourage the Maori people to participate in the program. For instance, the government and the Maori people need to work in cooperation in implementing immunization program. Additionally, it is the role of both the Maori and the government to work together in coming up with data about the health of the Maori people. It is from this data that the government will know how best to correct or imp rove on some of the things that are affecting the Maori people in the provision of health services (Hill et al., 2013). Another role that Maori and the government have about health is in highlighting some of the challenges that are facing the Maori people in the provision of health services. There has a role to listen to the Maori people or how best to serve them and the decision that the Maori believes can work well. It is the role of the government to punish those that are fuelling discrimination or rather the people that are treating the Maori in a lesser manner than non-Maori (Harris, Cormack, Stanley, 2013). On the other hand, the Maori have a duty to report to the government and other agencies of the injustices that are being committed to them so that punitive measures can be put on those advancing such activities. Additionally, Maori have a duty to abide and listen to the government plan not only during the formation stage, but also during the implementation stage (Baker et al., 2012). Lastly, a multi strategy plan is usually the best plan that any person can adopt. The Maori people can also a ct as advisers during the formation, implementation and overseeing of the multi strategy plan. Recommendations The Principle of Equality According to the third article of the Treaty of Waitangi, it makes it legal for equality between the Maori people and other citizens of New Zealand (Thornicroft et al., 2014). It suggests that all people of New Zealand are equal before the law. According to this principle, it is therefore important for the government to treat the Maori people as such. Equality not only means treating people with respect, but it entails the government providing services to the Maori people in the same manner that it does to other groups living in New Zealand (Pearce, Barnett, and Moon, 2012). This principle can be used in relation to discrimination of health care among Maori group in New Zealand. Application of the principle of the Crown protecting the Interest of Maori The discrimination of Maori people can be solved by applying the principle that suggests that the crown has a duty to protect the interest of Maori group. This entails all aspects ranging from security to provision of health services (Anaya, 2015). Thus, the crown will oversee what are the challenges facing Maori people and find suitable solution for the same. In this case, discrimination is the problem that Maori face and the case study offers a glimpse of one aspect of discrimination that is health issue (Jenkin, Signal, and Thomson, 2011). It is worth noting that using this principle there are many ways that the government can take care of the issue in relation to addressing discrimination in the provision of health services. Application of the principle that the crown has a duty to consult with Maori In addition to the stated principle, the government has a duty to consult the Maori people and determine what the challenges that are facing them are. This is a principle provided for in the Treaty and can be used in solving discrimination of the Maori in the provision of health services (Came, 2014). Rationale for the recommendation There are various ways in which the recommendation offers a rationale to the health issue at hand. To start with equality to the Maori group, discrimination is a form of inequality. Thus, the principle of equality stipulates clearly that all people residing in New Zealand ought to be treated in the same way (Howden-Chapman et al., 2012). Applying this principle suggest that the government must ensure that the health services that all groups receive is the same in both the quality and accessibility. Additionally, all the resources that are set aside, for instance, funding and health professionals ought to be equitably distributed (Kelsey, 2015). By doing this, and thus applying the principle of equality, the Maori people will not be discriminated in the provision and accessing health services as it is the norm at present moment. On the other hand, the Crown having the mandate to protect the Maori gives it the legal right to find solutions to the challenges affecting the Maori people. One of the challenges as discussed in this task is discrimination that is affecting provision of health services and health status of the Maori people (Jones et al., 2014). Therefore, by having the mandate to protect the affairs of the Maori people, the crown is tasked with ensuring that the Maori are not discriminated against accessing and receiving the best medical services (Blakely et al., 2015). Additionally, the principle finds it fit for the crown to implement either moderate or radical policy that ensures the policies relating to health of the Maori are implemented (Dyall et al., 2013). Thus, this the rationale for which this principle can help in solving the problem of discrimination of health services for the Maori by the government or the Crown. Lastly, the crown has a duty to consult with Maori. There is no way an effective policy can be implemented or formed without the crown consulting the Maori to determine what are the challenges that are facing them (Dyall et al., 2013). They are the route core of the matter and are therefore more aware of how far discrimination is in relation to health services. It is therefore a principle that the crown can apply in finding the various ways that it can collaborate with the Maori in solving the problem discrimination in the provision of health services (Winnard et al., 2012). Consulting with Maori can determine the areas in health services they are well represented, and how they think they can overcome that problem. Maori provider organizations have especially recognized access issues as a key factor and have used an extent of procedures to address these issues, including expansive convenient organizations and exertion focuses (Thornicroft et al., 2014). There ought to be extended restorative administrations providers for Maori people. In any case, these providers continue confronting different inconveniences. For this to be possible, the organization needs to make sense of how to have basic data accessibility regarding Maori prosperity providers and Maori prosperity work-compel (Pearce, Barnett, and Moon, 2012). Furthermore, the short contract time distributions set up require expansive renegotiations consistently (Jenkin, Signal, and Thomson, 2011). Likewise, since Maori providers work essentially with families at unusual measures of need the extent that prosperity organizations, extended costs are unavoidable if prosperity gets is to be proficient, besides, funders must consider this conditio n (Came, 2014). Similar approach exercises have started late been grasped in Canada and Australia to improve the soundness of indigenous social orders; in any case, the legitimate conditions in these countries lean toward single multiyear sponsoring contracts for broad basic therapeutic administrations, and there is early affirmation that such systems are more gainful for providers and propel better outcomes among purchasers. Conclusion Thus, it is evident that Maori people face so many challenges, ranging from their lifestyle to accessing health services. Although most of the problem can be attributed to the discrimination that they face, some of them are hereditary and habits that cannot lead to putting blame on the government. Moreover, data reveals that it is true that there exist discrimination and thus, the role of the government need to put up measures to solve this problem. Among the measures that can be seen as revealing important in alleviating this problem include the government advocating for cultural safety. Additionally, health care providers can act as ambassadors for advocating and personnel who will educate Maori people on the best practices that do not expose them to diseases. In addition to that, the role of the government in this issue cannot be ignored. There are various roles that the government has in regards to provision of health services and working with Maori people. Putting the right meas ures and the government working with Maori people in planning, discrimination on health services can be a thing of the past. References Anaya, S.J., 2015.
